i understand your point exactly, and you're right, it does seem unfair that selected Democratic precincts have been the focus here.

but it's a simple case of the Bush team having been beaten to the legal punch, by not requesting recounts in their own selected counties within the 72 hour time limit that was allowed.

In the "small world" category, my maternal grandfather settled in Port Charlotte a few years before he died. You are quite right, there are many retirees there, and the possibility of finding additional votes using Democratic rules are very great.........
