Those are completely ridiculous assertions.

1) Gore did not request a full recount in the entire state, and if he was so interested in being fair, why did he not do so?

2) There could've been a statewide recount ordered by the Court. They already overstepped their bounds, why did they not just go a bit further?

bending rules therefore can benefit both sides and I think a statewide count would most accurately reflect Libermans...let all the votes count

If Al Gore had truly sought fairness, i.e. requesting all applicable counties be hand-counted from the start instead of continuing to claim a count of votes in his chosen territory would give us a fair indication of who's the next President, I'm almost certain he'd have gotten it done.

Such a result flows naturally from adhering to principles of fairness, and are part and parcel of the reason why
