I personally buy approx. 30-40 PCs a year and as a consultant I have decisive influence on approx. 100 PCs extra a year. Since I don't do PC sales but software development, this is quite a lot. We create customized software solutions for approx. 40,000 PCs this year.

But 2001 seems to become a year with drastically reduced PC shopping, because most of our software solutions become server-based or thin-client based. We are about to introduce thin clients in the second danish county now, and there is no doubt that thin-client terminals will replace more than 50% of the PCs several of the places where we deliver software.
