Oh, I agree. The display is extremely important. I use a 19" highend Samsung (CRT) monitor myself. Not anywhere near as expensive as a flat panel display, though ;)

I agree fully that investing in a high quality monitor is the single most important aspect of a computer system. Approximately half the cost of my last system was for a high quality 19" monitor which is now happy with the new Duron system. I always encourage people to consider at least a 17" monitor and to compare side by side to realize the value of a higher quality monitor.

And of course the monitors work even better with AMD processors. ;-) I have taken to a little evangelizing on AMD processors but most of the people I talk with know nothing so I don't both with technical details: works as well or better and costs less.
