You're forgetting 7.65% for Social Security and Medicare and all applicable state taxes. Here in CA it's over 9%.

I didn't forget it. Keith said that income tax before SS, Medicare, and State was over 40%. I showed that it's actually under 30%. Yes, add in those other factors and you get roughly 45% TOTAL. And yes, I agree that's kind of a sizable chunk of your paycheck. But it's not as large as Keith was saying it was. I'm just trying to keep the facts straight, that's all. :)
