Well, someone made money as this market went up. Additionally, isn't there another segment of investors that are making money as prices drop? Isn't it possible that the downward pricing is being absorbed (participated in) by a portion of all investors while others wait? When those prices get low enough, some members of those segments will go long, no?

Also, people are still working and cash is still going into 401K's and IRA's. Won't pressure build to put this into equities if prices appear reasonable?
