That's a bit of an understatement, Tom. This must have been a painful year for you, and a real test of your commitment to ltb&h. As I've noted several times, I now view a moderate degree of diversification as an essential tool in portfolio management, and would recommend you look into it towards the end of December. That being said, if I were in one stock, it would be qcom.

I'm not following you on this point. Why do you equate covered calls with margin?

It's neither good nor bad; it's simply a tool for leverage as are options. They become bad when they are employed to excess by those impatient for big returns.
