Mark.. will be interesting if NASDAQ can fit all that in December. there is tax loss selling.. January has quite a record on the long side. Probably March before we see 2200, if we see it. Greenspan could have a say in the whole matter.

I am learning quite a bit from this bear market.. biggest lesson.. stocks can persist downward as they have gone up in recent years.. now if I can learn to stand on my head to look at the charts I'll do fine. thanks for the look at RIMM/CRUS.

Rashid

PS.. GOLD STOCKS ARE FLYING!!

Mark,

With your permission I have run tonight's scan and have arrived at a list of potential shorts for today should the market continue its downward spiral. This particular scan has had decent results when shorting an 1/8 below the prior days close (1st number next to symbol). I've also noticed this scan list can also be used to go long if the s&p, nasdaq futures are way up before the open.

In any case, here it is and thoughts and opinions welcome from all. Perhaps some of our resident experts can point out a few that look compelling from their perspective. Depending on the feedback I get I can try to post this daily. I guess the results should speak for themselves.

Now if I could only figure out how to get the proper spacing on the list. Columns contain symbol, last close, prior day's close.
