svenlar, what was your reason for holding onto SVN and SW on open? The gap up on open was a clear signal to sell into and wait for the pullback to fill that gap for a possible bounce. SVN made the classic pullback and small bounce. An excellent day-trading strategy. Seems like you are position trading SVN since there have been lots of opportunities to day-tade profitably since your entry price.

Can't tell you what to do, but here is my take on the charts FWIW. Starting with the big picture (1 year daily chart) both are clearly in a down trend. Both also have turned up a few days back with MACD STO OBV turning up. It may play out to be a good short term position play from your entry price.

However, for the purpose of this day-trading thread, if the long term chart plays out the 3-day rule, there could be a further pop, pullback, and bounce that would make a nice day trade. The only way to know is to watch the chart and indicators for the setup.

Being a thin trader, I would take profits wherever I could to not get trapped in the down trend if more buyers don't enter.

Regards,
Nick
