All I know about that stuff is that another lawyer on the island, now in his 50s, was a male model while in college. but not for many years, and I doubt he knows anything anymore, the field changes so quickly.

I was going to write "but at least Ammo won't have to do the casting couch routine," but seeing the orientation of many in Hollywood that may be incorrect.

Which I'm sure is a politically incorrect statement, but that's life.

Glad you guys passed on the showcase fee. Legitimate agents never request more than a headshot, a bio, and perhaps a demo reel (vhs tape for on-camera work and/or a cassette or cd for voice-over work). The rep you described sounds like someone from a talent mill rather than a good agency--these guys make far more money from these fees than they do from actually getting their clients paid gigs and collecting commissions on them.

I'm basing this perception only on what you've described, but in my experience it's broadly accurate.
