Poet

Well, the Naz got it up today, but no staying power.

a final capitulation sell-off--ahead of us in the not-too-distant future.

I've been reading that a lot - now from you and jambo.
Are you talking about a quickie here, or something more sustained?

sigh,
rose

Can I say I'm a trader and a schizophrenic?

I suspect that describes a lot of people on SI, Poet.

I am for the most part ltb&h - though I do my fair share of trading when I have the time and inclination. I am presently about 40% cash and looking to put it to use using some form of dollar cost averaging. I have no pretensions about being able to identify the bottom - but have begun to gradually put some of that cash to use.

Quite honestly, I would like to see a wipe-out occur before we establish a bottom - perhaps the NAZ at 2200 or so - that would achieve several goals: there would be capitulation at that point, valuations would be attractive and last but not least I would get a chance to invest my money at very attractive prices -g-
