Q4 2000 is shaping up to be the bottom of this sector, and the turn around point for the future.

Yes, I also have been advised that use of the already established lines will be much less costly. The dedicated, separate lines were not that costly to begin with, but this lesser cost should help the profit margins some what. The question remains, come Jan 2001, how rapid will the self- install rate be? Will it be increased or decreased from the current way they do business? With only 2 mil subscribers now, and 18 mil + more to come in the next 24 months, speed and market share will be of the essence. Can SBC, VZ or even Qwest say they have 45-50% of the country sevicable from the COs? I smell a buyout! Not today and not tomorrow but for sure when the sector turns upward in the next Qs ahead. With our luck, it will be COVD doing the buying :)
