Kenneth, Those things are paid for out of your's and my tax dollars. I owe thanks to NO-one for that. That's like me, thanking me, for eating breakfast.

The reason I was laughing so hard at swiss's comments is that it reflects a brainwashing the public has endured and is now comfortable with. Namely, that we survive to sustain government, rather than a government that serves the greater good. It's sad.

Bingo!

<<Credit and thanks
to the government for providing employment to
my wife.>>

Is there any room at the trough for the rest of us? Oink!

Here's a news flash for you. Your wife wouldn't have that job except for our tax dollars.

Credit and thanks to government for my education - public school, land grant university and law school. I could not have afforded private education. Credit and thanks to the government for providing employment to my wife. Credit and thanks to the government for highways and road, for national defense etc.

I believe the people paid for that didn`t they? What about the people that lost and are losing their jobs due to the government hording The people`s lands for wilderness because a owl lives in the forest?

Most people can afford a private education if they were not taxed so heavily by their government.

It now takes a two income family to live the middle class dream. In 1960 it only took a one income family.

That is what your free education and big government has cost your children. Are you happy?
