funny, i was struck by the same impression...people cashing in their bearish Rydex funds, buying QQQ's, etc. , because now that it's actually happening, they can't believe it. 75% of Rydex bull fund assets remain in tech btw, as opposed to 20% at the Oct. '98 low. i think that's a microcosm of the general tendency to overweight tech, far beyond even its ridiculous weighting in the S&P. note, tech still only accounts for 6% of the economy.
