My feel is this,if Bush goes into the Whitehouse now, without a full vote tabulation he will be in time viewed by many as a man who stonewalled because he was AFRAID to have a full vote count, and while the public majority(as least before the Gore speech),in its lack of patience, would have Bush now,and Gore to concede--this would backfire in a very bad way,as a President elected under a cloud of doubt regards Florida and without the overall popular vote would lead,in the end,to a disastrous and ineffectual whitehouse. Hayes was our last President under such conditions, and it was a disaster---including the stock market--Bush victorious with a full count, including those disputed absentee ballots, would NOT be under such a cloud, but now it seems like,by avoiding the full count they are saying we wouldn't have won if it did happen,so we are going just kick in the door and take over and that is not democracy. Now to hear from all the highly charged right wing Bushers that read this thread and all your conspiracy theories and how Clinton is the devil incarnate and Gore just the extension of Satan's rule, those damned Democrats.max
