I think that if the Bush team took the approach of "yes, we agree that all votes should be counted, let's convene a team and agree upon what constitutes a countable ballot" - or even seek arbitration on it then perhaps we wouldn't have this issue. Instead the Bush team simply whined and cried that the counting was inconsistent.

The point isn't that Bush wanted a fair and accurate count or consistency... he didn't want to fix this issue and count votes. He wanted to discredit this counting because he won with the orginal count. I would be pissed if the machine kicked out my vote.
