why has this simple fact been lost on the public?

utterly impossible

with imperfect ballots, votamatic machines, feeble arms on voters, illiterate voters, confusing voting instructions, fakeouts by media, intimidation by officials, fraud by officials

give me a break
fair and accurate is utterly impossible

practical and expeditious, that is the best you can get
goal is to minimize imperfections, not eliminate them

Did you catch MSNBC quoting that 60% of the people now wanted Gore to conceed?

Think that the process you were talking about - the Dem support eroding is now begining - Gore's speech today is essentially going to be a spin to shore up the support and keep the hounds at bay... It probably won't work, but he has to try it if he wants to have any hope of keeping this thing going...
