Hmmm.... It looks like Hyundai, Micron and Infineon all have their reasons for not wanting to pay royalties on DRAM.
No wonder their orders are off. My guess is they can not keep pace with the capital investment required to remain competitive in the DRAM business. Surely, this is true of Hyundai. Infineon does not appear to be making enough money to make the needed investments. Finally, it looks like Micron has the same problem.

The end result of this will be further consolidation of the DRAM industry with Samsung, Elpida seizing both the technology leadership and process leadership. These other companies are on their way out.
