Generally speaking, it is rarely smart to exercise all legal options available. Its not smart in this case because it sets a bad precedent and the long term effect, just as the long term effect of failing to impeach Clinton, is very negative. Moreover, Gore's actions have made it plain that no matter who wins in the end, the prevailing party will find it extremely difficult to govern effectively. I'm feeling as if we should feed them both (Bush and Gore) to the sharks at this point. Each side is hip deep in hypocrisy. JLA
