Another math major. By your reasoning Al would still be contesting if he lost 60% to 40%. It would be only "one" switch-over vote if only 10 people voted. Our schools do need help!

The underlying truth pushing public opinion is the poll result that shows that 94% of us feel Gore should not get his four counties included alone. The implication of that simple truth, if Gore wins on this basis, is perhaps beyond you yet.
