Jeb Bush recused himself because one of the candidates was his brother. If the State of Florida meant for everyone to recuse themselves because of their political party, they wouldn't elect people to those offices, they would import people from a foreign land. Where the Clinton/Gore Nazis started taking issue was when they discovered that one of the key elected officials was both a member of the other party and determined to carry out here public trust. Public trust has ALWAYS been a bother to those people and their supporters. Gets in the way of massive social engineering and public sector encroachment of basic human rights...
