I guess we will know if we are "great minds" tomorrow evening.<ggg>

As I see it even a inline number with a slight reduction on future growth rates will be OK for the stock, given its valuation.

LSI has been trading on just worries. I think the company just got tired of reiterating guidance for the quarter and did not bother when Daane left the company, causing the stock to plunge to current levels.
"Addi" has a great post analysing this departure to Altera by Daane on the LSI thread.

I have no concerns about holding these stocks longer term. Given the current prices the stocks have discounted so much bad news. As soon as we see any economic up tick, these two stocks will be off to the races. Many are forecasting that things will get better by mid 2001.

Worth holding these two stocks for easy doubles, IMHO. I am also adding call options with a few months to expiration.

I sure hope we have good news tomorrow evening.

BTW--This is a quiet message board; maybe that is a good sign.

I am still using AMKR's earnings as a guide for CMOS. I also wonder if there is a good chance of this one being bought out in the coming months. As the PEs dropped (especially in smaller caps), I am sure many companies will consider buying the smallers players.

I wonder if a TER (or someone else) would consider a bid for CMOS. I remember an analyst mentioned that it was taking biz away from TER in an article a while ago.

BTW--AMKR may be another good one. I remember their CEO saying that they are not as cyclical or something along those lines. Looking to buy it sometime soon or buy leaps call options.
