<< Excuse me, did we all fail to notice a Bush landslide here? >>

No, but that makes no difference. Gore needs to take a look at the US Constitution and then take a look at the results of the THREE vote counts in Florida. He then needs to give it up. Period.

<< The great irony is that Gore might have been pressured into conceding if Bush did not have his case pending before the Supreme Court. I think Gore has until Friday to make his case. >>

I hear this from a variety of sources and I think they are all clueless. Obviously Gore would do whatever he is going to do whether there was a pending US SC case, or not. As a matter of fact, I think Gore would be more bold in his actions if this US SC case wasn't out there. Bush has absolutely no choice but to leave the case in the US SC schedule in order to put an end to Gore's actions once and for all Friday.

Andrea Peyser writes for the NY Post. She's one of the token liberals there.

I happened to catch the conference call today. Daschle and Gephardt did not look happy. The whole thing was painfully awkward. Daschle and Gephardt were sitting and looking down, while the disembodied voices of Gore and Lieberman were piped in to them. It was weird.

Bush is now ahead in the electoral college, btw. The Iron Lady of Tallahassee took care of that yesterday.

Gore is speaking now. Be grateful we don't have to deal with the condescending jerk for the next 4 years.
