He was already running for Senator when he was picked for VP
He just neglected to withdraw himself from the race.
Its called a fall back position.
Unlike his running mate Al "do anything" Gore, Joe
will still be employed when this is all over.

I think it obvious why. He wasn't sure of being elected vice-president. That has nothing to do with why right now Wimp Jr. won't resign from his Texas job.

I remember Bob Dole and I used to like him until I have seen him on TV this past week or so. You would think he was Wimp Jr's press secretary. There is a good chance that if Dole would have been running against Gore that I would have voted for him. Now that he has shown what kind of a man he is I would vote for any democrat candidate except Hillary before him.
