<ot>Hi Carl - re: 4,700 ballots in Seminole County, it was brought on by a citizen, not VP Gore. However, I think you ve missed Zeev's point. If the election can be thrown by SoS Harris's discretion, people may feel every technicality is a fair game. Personally, while this could very well be invalidated [by throwing out all absentee ballots to Gov Bush's disadvantage, since all are tainted, as the lawsuit has alleged,] I felt they should be included if other side looked pass the technicalities in its favor. One side simply cannot use technicality selectively in one's favor but cry foul if the technicality doesn't break in one's favor.

At this point, even this is fairly moot. According to the tv commentators. The counties being contested will be in the hands of the court, not the SoS and not the canvassing boards. I got the impression that the court has the authority to assigned counters to determine what should be counted.

best, Bosco
