That was Clinton's low moment. One of his few. It will tarnish his image forever. Other than that he is arguably the most successful prsident of our lifetimes though Republicans hate to admit it. Eight straight years of prosperity. Not bad for a "big government liberal" especially when he had to ram his economic policies through a beligerant Newt Gingrinch congress. Believe me the Republicans are already trying to copy a lot of Clinton's qualities. They're furious he was so successful despite all their attempts to tar him, and that he's now the most popular president in memory, even higher ratings than Reagan at his peak.
