If Bush had to go, Cheney would be president, and that's a risk we can't take. There is no way that the Vice President is healthy enough to run the US. That's better than 3000 miles, not including Alaska and Hawaii, and he probably can't run more than a few dozen miles. He could end up running part way, and then drop dead. If that happened, we'd all lose our jobs cause the President is the guy who's responsible for the economy. The new replacement president would give us our jobs back soon enough, but in the meantime, we could end up glued to our TVs for hours. The only thing worse for the country than having the president drop dead would be having a cripple like FDR running the place. He dropped dead in office, and look at what happened then. The US had to beg Hitler for a time out while they looked for a replacement, and that was in the middle of an important war. The new guy, Truman, did okay, though. Think about America's children. When they put their hand on their hearts and pledge allegiance to the POTUS every morning. It's too much of a shock for their systems to suddenly learn that they have to pledge their devotion to a new leader. Letting them learn about death from the TV could have long lasting effects on them. The next thing you know, they're going to be exposed to oral sex. What is this world coming to! They should only choose immortals for either of the head executive office positions. The lower positions don't count, heck those guys kill themselves in suspicious circumstances all the time, anyway. -- Carl
