So far, then, the courts have said nothing about the merits of the case. So your statement that the court thinks the issue has merit is, at this point, completely inaccurate. The court has apparently not yet had anything to say about the merits of the case.

Nor, apparently, is the case about whether any crimes were committed, since this is a civil case, not a criminal case. So even if the votes are thrown out (which would be TOTALLY contrary to Gore's position that every vote must be counted) that won't prove that any crime was committed by anybody.
