I agree with you entirely, Miljenko.
OTOH, there weren't all that many mergers when everyone was running out of cash, not so long ago. When it comes to a contest between ego & reason, I know which way I'd bet.

Given the ongoing "revaluation" of biotechs, one monkey wrench in the works of consolidation are companies that think they are now too undervalued to want to be bought even at a significant premium.
