Then you should grab TONS of ARBA calls, 'cuz they're carrying a sh*tload on the books! Over $2.3B came from the Tradex acquisition. I'm amazed the management accounted for it as a purchase, given the ridiculous valuation on their paper.

Never woulda guessed it fooled a Clown into thinking they actually had *assets*! ROFLMAO!!!

The problem with the stock market in general is that historically, a tiny minority of the public owned equities. This allowed those participants to act as precision leeches, sucking off dollars from the unsuspecting occasional citizen who threw a few dollars into the market via mutual funds.

Just as with every other money making craze, from real estate to self-help courses to 1-900 porn, the only people who make money are those who are the FIRST to play the scam.

By the time a significant portion of the population tries to join in, the competition for Greater Fool dollars collapses under the weight of participants. For example: online porn used to be extremely profitable, but now there are a zillion sites giving away porn for free. Supply has exceeded demand a thousand fold.

There are two ways to become extremely rich:

1) Get a LOT of money from a small number of people.
2) Get a small amount of money from a LOT of people.

real estate and inheritance fit under number 1, and stocks/1-900 porn/pyramid schemes fit under number 2.

It's really Very Simple.

The stock market can't make EVERYONE rich. Because the method in which someone becomes rich in the market is by being a minority that takes money from the majority. When everyone is already in the game, the obvious question is "Sell to whom?"
