Re: Compaq's website has all of their P4 models not available until Mid December.... In place of "configure and buy" button is a "coming soon" button

Intel's launches are just full of exciting surprises, aren't they? Boring old AMD, in comparison, just offers working products for sale, and ships them.

Intel certainly did a fine job of coming to grips with the quality and reliability problems they were having all year, didn't they? They just needed that one wake-up call.

:-)

Regards,

Dan

John:

"Compaq's website has all of their P4 models not available until Mid December."

And the screw continues to turn...Sounds like the Athy/DDR combo should be well in place to greet the xth launching of the anaemic performing P4...

John, >Compaq's website has all of their P4 models not available until Mid December. Check it out:

I just got off the phone with Compaq, 1-800-888-0220. They're taking orders, build to order. Dan, extension 22266, said 5 days to build, then delivery of your choice. P4 - 1.4 and 1.5 GHz no problem.
