Certainly, the lies were blatant and calculated and arrogant. They preyed on, and they took advantage of, the fear and insecurity, the mental fragility, and the profound selfishness of the average Canadian voter. Special interest groups organized to get undeserved privilege; And so it continues.

Yes, the election was won on the GST lie. One transparent and obvious lie. I wonder if people felt disgust for themselves for being mocked, insulted, and ridiculed? I wonder if they blamed the right person--themselves?

Well, the landscape is changing; Western solidarity can no longer be ignored. We shall see.

Hi marcos,

<<Both of which i agree with, btw, free trade and the GST >>

So do I. That why I voted PC in the Mulroney years.
The point with these two issues obviously is the lack of integrity of Jean Chretien.

I'm self employed and the GST is not that big a deal if you are organized. The PST is a much bigger pain in the a$$ for me because it is less cut and dry in my line of work. ie. I bill GST on everything so it's simple. PST however has a whole bunch of << if then else do's >>.

regards
Kastel
