Paul,

You seem to be ignoring the fact that the majority of the individual states took action against Microsoft, and the fact that Microsoft is doing just fine, and may in fact be cleaning up their act a little. Microsoft was a predator whose business was largely based on stealing IP from companies like Apple and Netscape.

American business did quite well under Clinton. After Bush runs up the deficit, and interest rates go back through the roof, let's revisit this issue.

Lockhart will be a member of the senior management team reporting directly to Larry Ellison, Oracle Chairman and CEO. Lockhart will initially focus on refining and communicating Oracle's business strategy.

Lockhart will remain in Washington DC, where he lives with his wife and daughter, but will spend one to two weeks a month in Silicon Valley.

I wonder what he is going to manage in Washington DC...

The 6 billion dollar question is where Bruce Lindsey gets a job. I'm thinking Jakarta.
