Good morning, Justin,

I wonder how many of us have buried in our hearts some dream we didn't pursue. I know I do. Dreams rely a great deal on belief- in the feasibility of the dream and in your own ability to achieve it. that's where I always fell short- no confidence.
Last night I went to a rehearsal of their show- eeek.
It opens in two days and it is NOT ready. People were forgetting not just lines, but entire songs and dances. The lights went up and down with no apparent plan; sometimes the stage was dark and the audience was lit. I think I heard the director mutter "It looks better this way".

Some of the dancers' costumes were so large in the bust that the girls had to keep grabbing them during their number to keep from going topless.

Ammo seems to be having a great time though. His costume is a purple and red striped zoot suit with a red shirt and flowered suspenders. the pants are too short and last night he had on his new white Nikes, which caught the light and looked like he was wearing fluorescent tubes on his size 12 feet. (I'm off to Payless for some old man black lace up shoes. I wish I had some spats. That would be fun.) He has a cigar that is filled with powder so it looks like he's smoking when he puffs on it. I did suggest that he take it out of his mouth when he sings and dances..

The New York/ CHicago accents are fascinating. THe lead playing Sky MAsterson (the MArlon Brando role) sounds like a Jewish mother with a lisp. Ammo has been practicing his on us for weeks. I was worried that he would do his SHakespeare audition monologue with it last week in Santa Fe.
Yo Macbeth. Me and the boise is goin up to Dunsinane for a little game o' craps.
