Good point, particularly about Gore's claim of winning the popular vote. 200,000/100,000,000 is only .0025 -- well within the margin of error. If the entire country were re-counted, either by machine or by hand, Bush could very well wind up the popular vote winner. Gore's argument that he won the popular vote, the very foundation upon which he bases his legitimacy to contest the election, is specious, at best.
