to all ... congratulations and thank you

... in a personal way ... for getting back to business here.

I know that the present political situation in the U.S. is an issue that all of us (in the U.S.) care very much about ... and have strong feelings and beliefs about ... and have a natural need to express ourselves in terms of how we feel ... however, CNN, the other networks, the newspapers, magazines and a multitude of locations on the fabulous internet cover the story from every side conceivable ...

Our investment health is at issue ... and things are not as positive as they have been in the 90s (except part of the early 90s) ... so, if I might, I would like to suggest that we get back to basics and making money for ourselves from this moment forward.

Question: Is there going to be a Christmas rally? If there is, when does/did it start, and how big will it be?

Question: When are those giant technology stocks of today and the future - such as SUNW, EMC and CSCO going to bottom (or have they bottomed already) - and when will they really start to fly again?

Question: Will we have a recession in 2001? If we do, how serious will it be?

Question: What goes with the FED, and what will they do in the next several months? Is the FED paying too much attention to inflation?

Question: As an individual investor, what sources do each of you use to select and monitor your investments?

Question: Besides SI, what are the really good sites on the internet that really help you be successful?

Question: If U.S. equities continue to crater, will foreigners start to withdraw substantial assets from the U.S.? If they do, what will be the extent as well as the impact of a declining dollar?

Question: Are the currencies in Malaysia, Korea and the Phillipines about to collapse again? If they do, what happens to U.S. investors, and what should they do?

Question: Where is the bottom? The small investor has not yet shown panic - will he/she?

I am not suggesting that anyone try to answer the previous questions in a single document, but we seem to have lost our focus since November 7 ... for example, SUNW was 111.44 on November 7 (now 82 9/16) ... SCMR was 66.32 (now 50 3/16) ... GSPN was 50.25 (now 31 15/16) ... the Nasdaq Composite was 3415.79 (now 2759.19) ... certainly, some of this was caused by the after effects of election day, but probably not much of it (my opinion, at least) ... what do we have to say about all of that? - other than YUCK

As usual, my two cents worth ...

Sincerely, Ken Wilson
