Amidst all this gold talk, I'm not sure any of you have noted that gold itself as well as other precious metals (along with bear funds) were significantly up yesterday. Movement on the $GOX amounted to a spike. The Bullish Review's analysis of the COT report, particularly the increasing commercial long position, suggested that Gold (and to a perhaps lesser extent Silver) may be setting up for a major move similar to the one last year (which BR was able to anticipate).

So far I'm just exploring options (as well as "options"). Anyone got any advice for someone new to the gold market and lacking a futures account on a good speculative trading vehicle? My first impulse is a few calls on the $GOX, or, if I can put one together that makes sense, a good bullish combination.
