Starting to nibble on your PQUE today at 3 1/4. Will average down if the market demands it. I like their prospects as well as the balance sheet.

Bought a little OMNI today due to this press release:

OMNI Energy Develops New Division; Company Increases Workforce; Backlog Continues to Grow
Increased Domestic Oil and Gas Exploration Positively Impacting Louisiana-Based Provider of Seismic Services
CARENCRO, La., Nov. 28 /PRNewswire/ -- OMNI Energy Services Corp (Nasdaq: OMNI - news) announced today that it is increasing its workforce by approximately 30 percent by the end of the year.

David Jeansonne, Chief Executive Officer of OMNI, credits recently awarded contracts totaling more than $20 million, with placing the company in a position to dramatically increase its field workforce by approximately 50 employees.

The new contracts have added to the company's backlog, increasing it to more than $40 million in bids recently awarded to OMNI. This backlog has grown considerably in recent weeks, due in part to the company's closing of its acquisition of Gulf Coast Resources, Inc., which was announced earlier this month, and an aggressive marketing campaign within the seismic industry.

``Our dramatic hiring needs are due to the resurgence of the oil and gas industry's domestic exploration'' Jeansonne said. ``We have not experienced this much bidding opportunity in years, and are looking forward to participating fully in the industry's recovery, which we feel is only just beginning.

In addition, we are continuing our effort to enhance the bottom line and to further streamline operations. The new OMNI management team is stepping up efforts to identify areas of expense that can be reduced or eliminated altogether.``

OMNI also announced today the creation of a new business unit: the Geophysical Permit Service Division. The new unit will be headed by Burton T. Zaunbrecher, an 18-year veteran and leader in oil, gas and mineral leasing and geophysical permit acquisition services. Zaunbrecher has conducted permitting services for some of the largest geophysical companies in the industry and brings with him some of the most talented and experienced people in the field, as well as a proprietary database software package specifically designed for geophysical permitting.

``Our new Geophysical Permit Service Division provides OMNI with a more comprehensive line of services to offer our clients'' Jeansonne said. ``The division, coupled with the addition of an industry expert such as Burt, makes us more of a full-service company, enabling OMNI to better serve our customers.''

Management will hold a conference call to discuss today's news and other recent developments, on Wednesday, November 29, 2000 at 2 p.m. CST. Dial 800-205-3434, Participant Code # 235207.
