Re: Coin toss

We already had the "coin toss" on November 7th. It came up Bush. Had it come up Gore and the situation were reversed the pressure would now be on Mr. Bush to accept reality. Somehow I think he would have been more gracious under the circumstances than Mr. Gore has proven himself to be.

Nobody likes to lose a squeaker, but that's life. Just because the clock runs out and a Superbowl team loses by one point with the ball in possession doesn't mean the rules get changed to be more "fair". The reason we have election laws and rules in the first place is to avoid this sort of endless wrangling over "truth". You play by the rules and accept the outcome. That's the American way. If you lose this time you get another chance next time. You don't throw a fit on the field and start serving papers on the referees. The public sees this and that is why Gore's support is fast fading in the court of public opinion.
