Sam -- agreed. I keep hoping Bore and Gush agree to meet, and the meeting room would fall into a bottomless Florida sinkhole. Either Lieberman or Cheney would be more interesting, though Lieberman seemed to shrink in stature during the campaign. He spent a lot of moral capital in this race.

I will reiterate, though, I think Gore's Treasury Department and economic management would likely be superior. He was instrumental in pushing the Clinton administration to follow the bond market's will and tend to the budget deficit in a real way, and, to get re-elected by a large margin in 2004 will require sustaining this unprecedented period another 4 years. Gore understands that and will devote a good portion of his attention to that. It's just that I can't stand him.
