On Distribution Trend 2001, a supplement to Electronic News DEC 4, 2000, SEMI was covered.

Estamated revenue was $550 million. Earnings $13.8 million. Employment 720 up from 640. Percent of revenue from value added operation is 60%. Very impressive! Active devices is 90% of their business leaving the rest passive.

Management defended the next year's projection of business as usual. Quoting the new direction of technology and resulting new products in different sectors of the economy
; (Bruce thinks and I agree) cheap electronics will be used every where for functional controls.

I have always talked about the management's understanding of semiconductor business. Once they really leveraged their earnings, we have many years of good performance to expect. No one at SEMI should retire until they die.
