With the economy slowing and heading toward recession, oil over 30$, stock market collapsing, and shrinking federal surpluses, the next president is headed into trouble. I sure hope he knows how much harder it will be to govern in this economic climate.

So which is it? Does Katherine Harris have power or are her duties merely "ministerial", as the Gore lawyers have claimed? For your reference:

min·is·te·ri·al (mn-stîr-l)
adj.
Law. Of, relating to, or being a mandatory act or duty admitting of no personal discretion or judgment in its performance.

You really need to come to terms with the fact that President-Elect Bush won. Republicans will now control all three branches of Government. Plus, as Justices retire during the next 4 years, Bush will replace them with VERY conservative new Justices that will easily be confirmed in Congress, thus ensuring prolonged control of the Judicial Branch by conservative thinkers.
