Nice spin. The facts remain as they are. The votes WERE counted twice. There is no evidence of fraud, machine error, etc. Subjective, standardless "hand recounts" are not necessary nor would they be lawful without standards and as performed by the dem biased canvassing boards with ever changing standards. Nevertheless, the hand recounts Gore requested were done but several were not completed prior to the original or illegally extended deadline. There is NO evidence to suggest these recounts could not have been done in either the time alloted by the statute or the illegal extension of the statute created by judicial fiat of the FL Sup. Ct. I predict that the FLSC's patently illegal action will be reversed on appeal to the USSC. JLA

When are the dems going to tire of the line that says it is ok because the other guy would do it. It's really old, and it is a LOUSY argument. In fact it is not an argument at all. It is your justification of fowl behavior by YOUR candidate. When Bush loses an election and contests it as Gore is NOW doing, then you can say it. Until then, keep it to yourself. Here it is for all to see: "Had the candidate in this position been named Bush, you'd have no problem at all in wanting for the hand recount as prescribed by Florida law." btw, Florida law said the recount needed to be done in one week. IT'S OVER.
