I use Nighthawks...but they're older, more sensitive models than I think are available today. Be sure whatever you buy has a digital read out. There is no safe level.....any number is too much. place them about 2 feet from the ceiling as Co is lighter than 02. put them in areas either outside or in side of sleeping areas. I think I would have separate detectors for smoke and CO. I do now but it was by default and not by design. Shootie
