Gore to speak in 15 minutes. Could we be lucky enough to get a concession? Naaah. Here's hoping!

Re: "My question is why do you feel so many more blacks (5 times as many percentage wise) that have been exposed to GWB's leadership voted for him than those that have not been exposed to it?"

That's one way to spin it, I suppose. Obviously, the support among minorities that GWB achieved in Texas didn't translate nationally. There are about five or six reasons why GWB fared so poorly among minorities on Nov. 7. The biggest reason is that in order to win the South Carolina primary, GWB had to avoid doing the right thing and distance himself from the flag of the Confederacy and the far-religious right. McCain distanced himself from the far-religious right and the flag of the Confederacy and he paid the price. George took a calculated gamble and won. However, we haven't heard the last of this topic yet.

Re: He (GWB) is a fair-minded person who is not prejudiced against any minorities." You might be right. I don't know. I hope so. He's got a helluva lot of work to shore up race relations in this country. Actually, the only major candidate who addressed this issue in the past 12 months was Bradley.
