right you are. there are so many things that get added into the mix, aren't there? it just points to the validity of careful, sensible, trial-and-error experimentation. never change too many things at once, you'll never know what the heck did or did not work. changing only one thing is best. and patience is the code of the road, isn't it? being willing to try the same thing under a variety of external influences, in order to achieve an unbiased result.

for me, the result i spoke of was dramatically different, and it was so quick. almost like flipping a switch.

I am constantly reminding myself when I encounter this that it could very well be latency issues with my ISP and not my system.

When a web page loads slowly I ALWAYS blame it on that web site's server. :) For example, SI is often very slow whereas
other sites zoom. Of course I have dialup [why does that remind me of soap?] and you guys define speed differently.
