I picked that up from the post I was responding to. I believe he said that there were more deaths in 3 years than the sum of KIA's in the Vietnam war. Sorry no proof.

One of the best movies ever, btw is "Boyz in the Hood". At the end of that movie there was a quote that was portrayed to be true, but I have no back-up for it. It basically said that 1 in 10 black males will die from violence. That statistic shocked me, and I was touched by the commentary that they provided that said one of three possibilities existed. Either they (the establishment I guess) a) do not know about this, b) do not care about this or c) want this to happen. Those are all chilling possibilities, but they didn't mention that it was because of our 2nd amendment right to carry arms. Feeding the line of reasoning pits one group against the other and does not even come close to solving the problem. It's always someone else's fault. When I hear Barbara Boxer or Diane Feinstien say it is because of a lack of tough gun control laws I take it personally, and also realize that they don't really care about the problem, only their political futures which are supported by the fear they insight AGAINST law abiding people who believe in our constitiution.
