"Rising inflation still poses the main risk to the U.S. economy even though growth has slowed from its breakneck pace of 1999 and earlier this year, Chicago Fed President Michael Moskow said on Tuesday." from Reuters.
Can you believe that?!

Greg I found some bonds paying 7.75%. But am scared to buy them, on a money market you get 6% and CD is paying 7.35%. I think at this point a CD or money market is the only safe bet, or under the mattress Let me know your feelings on the prospect of bonds, r they really a safe haven?

I don't know for fact, but I'd bet a lot of money that has been coming out of the techs are going into bonds.

A lot of that money has been made by a relative few. If I had say $100 million or more, there would be no real reason to risk more than 25%, if that in the market.

It's going to take a lot ot get that money back into the market. These people could probably care less about catching bottoms. That's for you and I on the front lines(dodging bulletts as best we can).

I'm getting interest on my cash too.

I remember you saying you had an account at Etrade, so you might be interested to know that EtradeBank offers a money market plus account with a 6.25% rate. Nice, easy liquidity for any fast moves on the buy side.
