Let the battle begin..........At a press conference Tuesday, Baker introduced an expanded legal team that will represent the Bush campaign. Barry Richard, who has handled much of the Bush campaign's court fight will continue to be a senior member of the team along with Fred Bartlit, a leading litigation attorney who sued a number of Florida counties over the overseas military absentee ballots. Bartlit's law partner Philip Beck also will represent the Bush campaign along with two partners in Baker's law firm, Irvin Terrell and Daryl Bristow.

CNN Correspondent Mike Boettcher said the team has been described as "Boies-killers" aimed at defeating the Gore legal team led by David Boies, who is best known for spearheading the government's successful anti-trust lawsuit against Microsoft.

Gore should have won the Floridian election by 20 to 30 thousand votes. I submit, the Voter Network Service had it called right when they originally projected Gore would win Florida.

Given the rigid behavior of Ambassador-elect Harris, I wouldn't be surprised to learn in the aftermath of all this that Governor Jeb Bush and his GOPwinger forces played hanky-panky, taking a page from Nixon's GOPwingers in order to deliver Florida's electoral college votes to his brother, much like former NH governor and elder Bush former chief of staff John Sununu did in the senior Bush's NH primary campaign against Bob Dole after he lost the Iowa Caucus.

Interestingly, I don't think what the GOPwinger forces could foresee, however, was the strong turnout amongst minority voters which ultimately could prove the difference in this election thereby upsetting the best efforts of Bush's brother in Florida.

By the way, for those of you having trouble observing local Floridian canvassing boards, have you ever viewed an Iowan Republican Caucus? Good luck to all of us! (LOL)

All the ballots should be voided? Or just the ones that were altered? Is there any way to tell the difference?

This does go against what Gore was saying about having every vote count doesn't it? If you then say it is every legal vote should count, what do you do about dimples and chads?

If this were a chess game, Gore would have lost his queen and be scrambling around the board while trying to advance a pawn to the other side to be queened. The seminole ballots appear to be his last chance at advancing such a pawn ...

LAWDOG - Please don't EVER post that I have lied. If you have an example that you think is a lie, check it out and I will respond. I have NEVER lied on this thread. It is possible during this fast paced exercise in free speech that a detail is not correct, but never has there been a lie.
