Mary, also don't forget AMD had a lot of things going for them besides having a good product: namely, an ideal demand environment and Intel screwups/poor planning. Now, it looks like demand is slowing and Intel is starting to get its act together, both with capacity and product. AMD, imo, will fare poorly in this new environment, and their stock price is reflective of this. Of course, there with always be the 'Droid' with thinks AMD has so much potential, which makes AMD the ideal 'trading' stock.
